Left Hand side of Climate Modification Window contains all the initial values within the parameter file.

Right Hand side of Climate Modification Window contains all of the modified values take will be used to create a new parameter file.

What can be changed:

Each cell in each column can be change. Just modify the same way you would any other text.

Annual Mean Precipitation and Annual Number of Wet Days can be modified for the entire year. Click the annual button you wish to modify and enter the new total amount you wish to use. The values for each month will be modified to reflect this overall change.

Maximum and Minimum Temperature Columns can be modified globally. Click on the button under the column you wish to modiy and enter the amount you wish to increase or decrease the entire column by. For example, if you wish to modify the maximum temperature by 5.2 degrees, click the button and change the value to 5.2; this will increase the maximum temperature for each month by 5.2. If you want to only increase the maximum temperature by 1.4 degrees, then click the button and enter 1.4 degrees. To reduce values below the original value, enter a "-" sign before the value. Enter 0.00 to return the column to the original parameter values.

Annual Precipitation and Number of Wet Days Column modification can also be modified globally. THis is done the same way as the Max and Min Temperatures except modifications are done using percentages. therefore, if you wish to increase the mean precipitation for each month by 12%, you would enter 12.0. Once again, to reduce the value below the original parameter values use a "-" before the percentage.

Clear All Change - This will return ALL values to the original parameter values from the parameter file.

Accept These Values - This will create a parameter file based on the modified values shown on the right hand side of the window.

PRISM Button - This will launch the PRISM Modification window.
