Sediment Delivery

Sediment delivery is the amount of sediment delivered from the end of the hillslope profile. If deposition occurs behind grass strips, in terrace channels, or in sediment basins, sediment delivery will be less than soil loss for conservation planning. If no deposition occurs, the sediment delivery will be the same as soil loss for conservation planning. Sediment delivery values and sediment characteristics are important indicators of water quality impacts by erosion and sediment yield.
